Sizing guide
How do I choose the right size for my child?
- Have the child stand without shoes with their back against a wall. The heels should touch the wall and the child should look straight ahead.
- Using a book, place the entire spine of the book against the wall while resting it against the child's head. Put a stretch on the wall at the bottom edge of the book.
- Measure the distance between the floor and the line.
- The distance in centimeters corresponds to the children's trouser size
Tips: Choose a size that is bigger than your child.
This way, the child will be able to use the shell pants for much longer, which is a smarter investment for both you and the child!
Thanks to the elastic bands at the bottom of the trousers, the trouser legs are held in place and do not risk interfering with children's activities.
The waist is also adjustable to fit everyone.
It's better to have a little ”room to grow” in the pants where the child feels they can move freely to be able to run, jump, ride a bike and play unhindered!
For example, if your child measures 104 cm, choose a size 110/116.

Washing instructions
Skiddis shell pants require only minimal maintenance. In order for the pants to constantly maintain their high performance, here are some tips on how to take care of your pants in the best way:
Avoid machine washing your shell trousers every time they get a little dirty. Often rinsing with water is enough, and a wet cloth may also be needed to remove the last of the dirt.
When you wash your shell trousers in the washing machine, you should use a neutral and preferably environmentally friendly detergent. Our high-tech fabric does not require any special washing products; you can use your usual detergent without bleach.
Don't use any fabric softeners, detergents or similar and avoid filling your machine with more than a third of its capacity.
Wash with similar colors.
After finishing washing, it is necessary to reactivate the water repellency of the garment. This is most easily done by running the shell pants on low heat in the dryer.
To save energy, we advise you to first let the garment hang dry, then it is enough to run the dry garment for about 20 minutes in the dryer to reactivate the impregnation.
If you do not have a tumble dryer, a low temperature iron may be used instead.
After several washes, it may be necessary to re-impregnate the shell trousers.
Use a PFAS (per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances) free impregnating agent, available in well-stocked sports and outdoor stores. Some of these products are used in the washing machine while others are sprayed on. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations carefully.
It's not the water repellency of the shell pants (”dripping” on the surface) that makes the garment waterproof, but the high-tech membrane we use.
However, it is important to look after the trousers and re-impregnate if necessary, as this helps the membrane to function optimally, especially in terms of the membrane's ability to breathe.
Children are often very active and need a product that breathes well, otherwise it may feel warm after a while and may even develop moisture on the inside.
